The Wago Club became a social organization sometime prior to 1912. The club has been
incorporated since May 22nd, 1933. The Wago Club remains one of the oldest operating
clubs in the state. Known across York County for its turtle soup, it has kept the
recipe a closely guarded secret for many years. The club is a private gentlemen's
club with members being accepted all through the year. References from two existing
members is required to obtain an application to join the club. The club has weathered
a few natural disasters and continues to recover from the latest flooding in September
2011. Many events such as block shoots, oyster feeds, DJ’s, bands, picnics under
our pavilion, and holiday events for the whole family are held year round.
